It's no secret and you probably already know this.

Australia knows it. They just passed a law.The Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Reform) Act 2025 which limits the amount of donations to any individual in an election to $50,000 per year. $250,000 to any state or territory. And they can do this 32 times. There's many other details and I personally think they didn't go far enough, but it's tons better than what we have.

• No billionaire can spend 100 million dollars to get the politician they want in office elected.
  
• No rich person can influence a politician's voting on bills to profit the donor. At least not near as easily as they can here in the U.S.
  

I believe firmly that to limit the donations of PACs and special interest groups and corporations will solve so many of our problems.

Actually, one other step that would go so far in fixing our problems.

Make the laws that apply to us citizens ALSO apply to the lawmakers. Like Insider Stock trading, tax laws, legal laws like sex trafficking, extortion, bribery, etc. etc.. Yes, technically many of these they are *supposed to* adhere to, but look around. They don't have any accountability.

The RICH get away with whatever the fuck they want to do. How the hell did this happen???
