I'm what many would call, an old white guy. I never thought much about it until recently but I am totally ashamed of my demographic, speaking on a generalizing basis. My demographic seems to be in control of the government and they definitely should NOT be. At least not the ones that do have control.

A little background: My great great grandmother on my father's side was a freed slave. My grandfather on my mother's side was hispanic or Native American - nobody is quite sure. Most of my heritage is from Scotland and England. I'm proud of all my heritages. Ancestors of color were, sad to say, apparently family secrets which I discovered recently through genealogy research. I had one rule my entire life of 7 decades. Never discuss politics or religion. Never. And I never did. Until now. Times require people to speak up, IMHO. Hence, this section of my blog.
